Magic The Director

Maciej “Magic” Kubrak is a director who recently graduated with his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the New York Film Academy. From a young age Maciej was completely captivated by film and television, to the point of his parents concern. His fascination transformed into execution when at the age of 12 he got his hands on a video camera. In 2015 he moved to Los Angeles to focus on the craft of directing fully. Since then Maciej has directed and acquired financing for 2 music videos and 3 short films including his thesis film “How I Got My Restraining Order”. He also produced and directed a short documentary for the Make-A-Wish foundation. After obtaining his Bachelor’s he travelled around Southern Africa and Australia capturing travel footage and Behind The Scenes videography for the band “Spacey Jane”. Maciej is back in LA looking for steady work and new horizon expanding experiences. Maciej’s main influences are: Stanley Kubrick, Denis Villenuve, and Paul Thomas Anderson.
